Illustrated Books for Independent Authors

Based on my experience, creating a beautiful children’s book involves the following steps:

Storyboard:
First, I create a sketch of the entire project, creating miniatures of all the pages to see how the text flows with the images. We can make significant changes at this stage.

Sketches:
More refined images of each page, allowing for possible changes.

Color Palette Design:
Choosing the perfect colors to bring the illustrations to life.

Finished Illustrations:
Digitized at 400 dpi for high-quality results, with a few small changes if needed.

Cover Design:
Creating an eye-catching cover, considering illustration, design, and formatting.

Formatting:
Creating the final file with everything put together, ready to send to a printer or upload to Amazon KDP.

Estimated Timeframe

2 to 4 months, divided into weekly milestones.

Estimated Price

$2000 to $3000 USD, depending on the style, technique and number of pages.
